Warriors still in the playoff hunt

If overcoming challenges makes champions, then the Warriors are poised to win the title.  As if a “vertically challenged” team of mostly young, first-year players wasn’t enough; the Warriors are now without their starting center. Coach Wilson looks to Freshman, Ian Greene to step up his game, and provide some much needed post presence. Despite losing their last two games, the Warriors are still alive for the playoffs. “I’m encouraged, given that we played four straight road games and came out 2-2. That’s pretty solid for such a young team. We definitely have to win our way into the playoffs, but I expect the guys to play well”, says coach Wilson.  The schedule will certainly aid that effort, as the Warriors play the next four games at home, beginning on January 8th against Cornerstone Prep.

The Warriors compete in the ACCE

Congratulations WARRIORS on a job well done – we are in the playoffs. In spite of our newness, height and other challenges we may have encountered (loss of Rashid) we still managed to become a team to be reckoned with. What makes us different is we play heart ball. And that in itself speaks volumes. Coach/Headmaster Wilson you and the team should be commended once again for a job well done.
